Hooray we made to Friday, in fact I'm still trying to figure out why I am alive. See because of the ever increasing costs of doing business in going towing or trucking any more I had to get into the Welfare thing? Have you ever went to a Welfare office? 70% are imported people or at least those that jumped the fence to get into the USA. So everything is in Mexican , okay they even make you call the so called case worker over a house phone. Most not all as I have met one in Twin Falls Idaho that exceeds anyone I have ever met inside such an organization. Outside of her I think most of these case workers do what they do for a $50.000.00 a year pay check and beyond a bit of surface fronting don't care a bit if your sitting there starving or not. Shure you have a big truck, shure you once made the same amount each year as they do, but unlike them you had to foot $8,000.00 in road taxes, $10,000.00 a year in fuel taxes and talking fuel at $4.25 per gallon with a need to feed a rig at maybe 5 miles to the gallon at 100 gallons to fill the tank, it does not take a scholar to finger out that while you'd love to have your wheels out there turning earning you a living the reality is you can't. Then seeing ads on TV about truck driving schools promising the moon when in reality most of us are going broke. It's not the trucking days of your Dad, it the reality of a government that turned corrupt . Problem is there does not seem to be much in the way of healing. To focus some attention to the condition, on April 27th 2008 at midnight, the 10,000 local Idaho members of the United American Independent Truckers Association will join up near Arco. Idaho and will do a short convoy to our capitol city of Boise Idaho to the capitol building. Shure the Idaho legislative session is over but the showing of trucks of all configurations rolling over the big road to show the importance of us being as well showin to all if you got it a truck brought it. The best boycott on a load however came from one of our UAITA members the other day when he said lets just not haul any toilet paper.
