In the corner of my living room there is a dish filled with a bunch of onion rings that sort of went bad. I put those out for the little mouse that invited himself to stay warm in my house during these strange days of cold even though its May so that said . While harboring a mouse might not be at the top of your list like that mouse I once I also was not too long ago looking to do nothing more than survive. Many folks are in that spot these days. Its not to advance ones career, or to be a shining star but to do nothing more than survive. Consider this , when I was snooping into the concept of the UAITA buying out Channel-12 our community cable channel here in Pocatello, it was not that the crew of CH-12 was being mean to me but fear that if they were more than just merely helpful as its their job, their standoffishness was due to fear of loosing their job if in fact our efforts were successful. Likewize there was some fears by many there that if they were too chummy with me then even if we were not successful in our bid to privatize CH-12 then the lady who manages the place currently would be very vindictive. Why? Simple for quite some time now her living came from her job there. At $50,000.00 something per year if the UAITA was to have bought CH-12 her job was over and things money wize at her home might get a bit tight. Again it is a matter of basic survival . I myself not too long ago was at the brink of survival. Although I had faith in my God to see me through the calamity still by no actions on my part I was at the brink of homelessness and worse yet wondering how I was going to eat, which is why even as useless some say a mouse is I can't see the little feller starve nor be cold. He or she as I have not really checked the gender of the little critter has a right to live. We as the so called supreme beings of the Earth and that is a bit arrogant on our part , but we humans call certain critters pests, and worse, yet God above made them for a reason. So who are we to say that mouse is not worth saving? For that matter any critter? Be it Wolf, Bear or some other. What if they were in control and said there are too many humans lets rid ourselves of them. They destroy our land, dirty our water, plunder our food supply, and move us out of our homes. But they don't, they are at the mercy of us as a species of humans. So as I close I say to those at CH-12 I forgive and all that.
Next entry the seasons of Hazzard County Kountry Television on CH-12 is not finite.
