StarDate: 85369.73 Road Traxx local tv fear the wolf

As much as I have been lately getting good ink and mainstream media attention as it is, still I think too, many of those news sources both TV as well as newsprint fear the bark, byte and howl of the old Wolf here. However I was looking at a blip that came over my wires Wednesday about how local TV and radio stations are going to document their local programming and meeting the needs of the communities they are licensed to. Have you ever seen a local TV station focus on their community unless there was big and MIGHTY BIG $ signs involved? When was the last time outside of say Twin Falls Idaho that you saw an eastern Idaho or Treasure Valley TV station run a local farm news show or segment in their news broadcasts. Have you saw anything like that? Yet what 60% or better of this states economy comes from those involved in Production Agriculture. More over and although its rare except for Trick My Truck on CMT or the upcoming show involving towing called Wrecked on the Speed channel, when was the last time you saw a truckers news show on TV? When was the last time you clicked on that TV and saw such family friendly TV like Petticoat Junction, the Beverly Hillbillies, how about B.J. & the Bear, 18-Wheels of Justice etc, bet its been some time. How about making local TV series starring local talent? If that is your wish then your wish is about to come true, as the first and only Truckers and Rural America's  own community Access Channel. Called KAWR as well as Hazzard County Kountry TV, will begin running programming, this coming January from Pocatello, with sub studios in Ogden Utah, Evanston Wyoming, Boise Idaho and Rupert Idaho. Eventually gaining space on a satellite and going on as not only a local station but a worldwide cable and satellite tv network. Money from a local rural improvement grant by the USDA, and sponsorship money through the UAITA, The Hazzard County Road Warriors Association and the Untied Road Resque Towing Association will provide a channel, and network unlike anything like it before. If you happen to live in Pocatello or Chubbuck Idaho, have cable and want a taste of what we are going to be like, tune in on Monday's from 5:00 to 6:00 PM , Wednesday's from 2:30 PM to 3:30PM or Friday's from 5:00PM to 5:30PM . Unlike our cable access channel here this Truckers/Rural Community access channel will be available for watching on what is termed low power analog broadcast TV, meaning everyone can see it not just those with cable. If my world was busy before going towing 24/7/365, it just got busier working this assignment for our organization.  Next entry, Dixie-Diesel/Highway Hooker Radio. Stay truckin
