In a dramatic move the United American Independent Truckers Association is looking to hire an outside ad agency to boost membership numbers and income. The decision comes after a long over the weekend closed door meeting in Pocatello this past weekend. Area ad agency of John Young will be the first to be examined to being the organizations ad agency, but not he only one. Both indepth interviews as well as investigations and written bids and examples of previous work will be required to receive the contract for advertising with the UAITA valued at nearly $1.5 billion dollars over the next 5 years. In addition to the parent group, the UAITA as its siblings include the Hazzard County Knytes Kustmz Association, The Hazzard County Road Warriors Association , the Deere Dazzlers Association, The BlackSheep Vintage Aviation Association, and the Hazzard County Choppers Klub. While the UAITA has under its umbrella 10 radio stations, its visual and TV skills are not that keen. Getting some help from an outside vendor is required. With events of the organization rising to a near boil in the next 5 years it is essential that our membership numbers and interior income rise with the increasingly important missions that the parent organization along with its siblings will undertake in the same 5 year period.

In years gone by if I'd have said there was gold in the gills of performance thrills of what is today called Performance Diesels, most people would have said the man has a hole in his screen door. In fact most did. Back in 1988 in BlackFoot Idaho the doors to the very first Dixie Diesel Shop was opened. Most back then thought we were nuts in going into performance diesel tech and service. Even such big notables, as Edlebrock, and others at the 1987 SEMA show in Lost Wages Nevada thought we were chasing a too small a mouse through a too larger pipe. In nearby Aberdeen where performance diesel technology is a science at a firm by the name of Bully Dog Performance the idea is they were the first. I'd tend to argue the point since the Dixie Diesel Shop was the first truck custom shop and Performance Diesel Shop in the entire Pacific and Mountain West. From its beginnings as the Hazzard County Garage/Truck Shop to as said Dixie Diesel Shop we have been tuning hot rod diesels in both cars, pickup's, farm and construction equipment and yes long haul big rig over the road class 8 trucks. When I first suggested peeking and tweaking a hot rod diesel in a VW Rabbit truck of 1981 vintage, a local shop owner at Wally's Service of Chubbuck Idaho now an automotive instructor at Idaho State Universities Auto-Tech said I was just not thinking right and that Diesels would never replace gas engines as a engine of choice for serious performance enthusiasts. But look at the vast array of diesels and diesel power punching the gun of both muscle and grunt all over the performance truck and automotive market. The oil companies see this too why do you think diesel fuel is nearly 3 times as high in price as gas? With all that in mind the Hazzard County Road Warriors Association the sibling of the Hazzard County Knytes that specializes in the interests of performance, custom and vintage trucks is looking to create a performance diesel drag racing class through the NHRA and introduce a Hot-Rod Diesel racing class in championship drag racing. This series will not just be about class 3 ,4,and 5 trucks, but will include drag racing farm equipment as well as full sized big rig OTR trucks. In this the Hazzard County Road Warriors are planning a gig in 2009 called the Hazzard County/Dixie-Diesel Nationals and is looking to stage such in or near BlackFoot Idaho. With racing events to be held at Boise's FireBird Raceway and Utah's RMR Raceway near Tooele Utah.
