STARDATE:85389.79 TV AFTER MIDNIGHT NO THANKS.

hhd small

TV after dark no Thanks. There are what now some 500 channels of Television both broadcast over the air TV as well as cable and satellite. Of that 500 some odd channels there are maybe 3 or 4 that provide anything really entertaining after midnight. Now granted there are some TV network execs and a few TV station owners/managers who probably think who cares after dark most folk are curled up in their beds snoozing. But what about those who are working the night shift that are doing office type jobs that might want to turn on a good movie? What about the long haul OTR driver who just pulled into the pickle park, and wants to watch a good flick or maybe catch a repeat of a favorite show? Why do we need to muddle through all these infomercials that are filled with only part truths and claims about products or services or offers that are either not what they claimed they are? From about 22:00 hours to near 05:00 hours I sit up doing dispatch duty here at Dixie(HIGHWAY-HOOKER) Towing. Between calls, and paper work, there is flat no TV. We got one TV station here in our town KPIF-15 that does an okay job their signal is the best in this end of the state and outside of some mangled management has the best dern thing in southeast Idaho. Yet even KPIF our CW affiliate at 00:30 don't expect nothing but infomercials. If a TV station is not making enuff money from area advertising why not lease or rent the air time or for that matter the whole damn TV station to an Independent Producer  or production company like ours to put on programming that will not only generate revenue for them, but entertain folks like us rural style rednecks? That's what we tried to do last October with Brian and KPIF and ya'll know the rest of that story. Yet Brian runs promos for folks to advertise on his station as well as plugs for those hunting down ad leads or buyers, yet here we sit with open wallet ready to put something serious on KPIF that we could really sell ads for that could generate money for him and his station as well as the Hazzard Road Warriors Association the UAITA and other sibling organizations related to us. THE CW is one of the strongest networks in the nation right now, leading both demographics and ratings in most of its programming. The potential that both the CW as well as KPIF has is why I keep trying to prod Brian to come over and chat with me before that Kevin guy showed up and lets put something together. I got a bit of good news this evening, the settlement regarding the Montgomery Trust was made and it looks as though this fall $65,million big green stamps will be mine around mid October 2008. $5,million of that has been ear marked to do one of two things, buy KPIF or create our own or possibly both. But when you rather I try to get Brian's attention to come visit me, its like maybe. Maybe? I did not move all the way over here from Rupert/Heyburn Idaho, and put most of my personal junk on hold for a Maybe. Sure things of this nature take time, and yes the wait has been painful but I rather thought Brian and I had a friendship. As well as a partnership. But here I sit waiting for a visit or a phone call. By the way Brian the phone number is 705-0676. The bottom line is this. With after dark TV as crappy as it is in fact TV itself outside of some rare stations an/or networks like KPIF or the CW I say no thanks for after dark TV, but then again who better to cure that than the Hazzard County Road Warriors? Maybe even create a new reality show based locally, like say Trucker needs a wife? Highway Hooker TV? Featuring the lifestyles of us going towing.

That kind of TV and just basic rural based TV would be outrageous enuff to generate some real dollars for all concerned. So Brian its time to rise and shine and come over and talk to me.
